Mountain Meadow Programs: Youth Talk
Some of the fun things we do in youth talk include:
Attending films during the Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, participate in Pride Events, write letters to local legislators and President Obama regarding state and Federal Marriage Amendments, march in Philadelphia's Pride Parade, attend events related to diversity, create art projects such as family trees , fun field trips (like to the zoo), family barbeques. We sometimes finish off the year with a sleepover party.
Youth Talk is organized in partnership with Philadelphia Family Pride, another Philadelphia group and network of LGBTQ families. Together, we host Family zones at Pride events and plan discussion group sessions.
In 2009, we are re-vamping Youth Talk in order to increase attendance. We look to input from our youth
and
